Aylburton Carnival returns - join the festivities for a fun-filled day as the village comes alive with floats, festivities, and community spirit, all to raise funds for local causes

The day kicks off with the carnival procession along the A48 (High Street) with floats leaving Taurus Crafts car park at 1:00pm, with walkers joining in at Millbrook Green.

(Remember, the A48 High Street will close for 30 minutes from 1300 for the procession).

The fun will continue on the field with the usual stalls, bar, barbecue, sports and a Fun Dog Show.

Run by volunteers the first recorded village carnival was 1917, and it's still going strong.

Prizes for the best floats are £100 (Bleddisloe Challenge Cup), £75 and £50. There are also prizes for the walking entries.

The Cross Inn will have:

• Evening Karaoke
