Join Books for Bugs this summer for a fantastic programme of free family events celebrating stories, creativity and reading. From author visits and animal encounters to storytelling picnics and themed activity mornings, there's plenty to keep young book lovers entertained throughout August.
Warehouse Open Day

Pia's Pet Club Author Event

Meet children's author Serena Patel, creator of the Pia's Pet Club series, and enjoy a fun afternoon with some of the animals featured in the books. Meet Monty the dog, Rufus the guinea pig and fascinating reptiles with the team from Roaming Reptiles. There will also be books, new releases and themed goodies available.

Pack a picnic and enjoy a full day of storytelling and family activities with Books for Bugs, Forestry England and Read for Good. Meet local author Matt Davies for storytime, browse the £1 pop-up bookshop and enjoy the popular Room on the Broom trail. Parking charges may apply. Toilets and a café are available on site.
